"Here's the story, of a doll named Peggy.
She is 3 feet tall with light blonde curly hair.
If you look directly at her - picture or video,
here's your warning to please not stare!"
(I just made up the little jingle...TM...5/28/2023...Audre)
I'm going to introduce you to Peggy the Doll, a haunted figure that is said to do major damage when you look at her. You don't have to say anything to her, you don't have to be nice or rude...just look at her and she can mess you up. To me, that seems a bit dramatic of an attitude to come from a doll, but I guess that tells me how haunted Peggy really is.
The origin to Peggy the Doll is not really known. She's a 3 foot tall, short curly blonde hair doll. I believe she was manufactured in the 1960s. She looks like a lot of dolls made for kids to play with and take care of.
Many, many years ago, in a land far, far away...more like September 2014 in the UK, a lady named Jayne Harris got an interesting email. Jayne, at that time, had been investigating the paranormal and haunted items for 17 years.
From Jayne Harris' book, "Peggy the Doll, A Very Different Haunting":
“Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing this is the hope that you can please help me. I have reached a point now at which I can’t carry on this way. Let me just explain that I have always had a huge belief in the paranormal and the idea that spirits are all around us. I didn’t know though that they could affect the living in the way they have been affecting me. I can’t talk to anyone about this, as I am sure they will think I am crazy. Some days I wonder if I’m crazy myself. I have a doll here which I am sure is causing my house, maybe even me, to be haunted. If I hadn’t lived through it for the last few months I’d think that sounded completely insane.
I read that you have a lot of experience so please reply and tell me what I should do. The doll is no longer in my house and I won’t have it here. I can’t sleep at all and today is now the 5th day that I have been awake, no sleep at all.
There is a figure that comes to me at night, stands at my bed. Its dark, a lady I think, but doesn’t move or speak. I end up frozen to the bed in fear. I tried to put a cross on my wall and pray to Jesus but it doesn’t help.
Please come soon J.W”
A few days later, Jayne, her husband, Simon, and their psychic friend, Hazel Myers, got in the car and headed over to the owner of "the Doll" (she was named Peggy at a later time). The lady had the doll wrapped up and it was being kept in a building outside of the lady's home. She refused to have the doll in her house anymore after all the experiences she had...none of them good - hearing footsteps outside her bedroom, waking up at 3:00 a.m. each night, seeing a figure at the end of her bed, scratching sounds coming from inside the walls, and many, many more scary things.
Now as the new owner of the doll, Jayne and her husband, Simon, did paranormal investigations with her. They checked EMF readings, visual and audio recordings. One one video recording, Simon claims that the doll slowly moved.
About 6 weeks after owning the doll, Jayne started having severe fatigue, migraines, nausea, and dizziness. Doctors didn't know what was going on, medical testing was all negative. Hazel took the doll for a while to see if Jayne would feel any improvement...and she did.
Jayne took the doll back three weeks later. At one point, Jayne took the doll in the car with her as she went to see a psychic. Jayne left the doll in her car as she went to her appointment, and the psychic asked if the person sitting in the car was coming to the appointment as well. Jayne said there was no 'person' on the car, she had arrived by herself. Did the psychic see the entity that is supposedly attached to the doll? I personally think she did.
I could not find complete documentation on this next part, but during my research I saw many reports from people stating that a psychic (I have no idea on the person's nome) ended up naming the doll, Peggy. The psychic believed that there was a woman named Peggy who died in 1946 from some sort of chest/breathing issue. She may have been a Jewish lady who died as part of the Holocaust. Again, I was not able to find absolute documentation on where that evidence is, but that's the story that goes along with Peggy the Doll.
Jayne ended up posting pictures of Peggy on her Facebook paranormal page, and many people started commenting that they were experiencing negative issues when looking at Peggy. Some people starting having headaches, nausea, fatigue. One lady, Katrin Reedik, suffered a heart attack after seeing pictures of Peggy. Another person is said to have suffered a stroke after seeing a picture of Peggy. Many people, including Jayne, have said that there are two entities are attached to the doll - one being a female presence, not so bad, but then a very dark male energy that is the cause of the negative issues people have after looking at Peggy. Who is this dark energy? I have no idea...it's never been figured out.
We all know how popular social media is nowadays. Zak Bagans, lead investigator of "Ghost Adventures", caught word of Peggy the Doll and had to check this story out. This is very interesting as Zak has a literal phobia of dolls. At this point in time, Zak had started a new haunted museum in Las Vegas and was starting a new show called "Deadly Possessions". Of course, he had to have Jayne and Peggy the Doll on the show. His people contacted Jayne and Peggy the Doll ended up on Season 1, Episode 3 of "Deadly Possessions".
If you get a chance, and if you dare, watch the episode. The most interesting part to me was the flies that showed up while Zak was doing the interview. What the hell is in that doll that is creating that problem? Disturbing!!!
About a year or so later, Zak contacted Jayne again and asked if Peggy the Doll can take residence at his museum in Las Vegas. Jayne agreed and Peggy has a new home. Sounds like people are still having issues after seeing Peggy the Doll, weather it be at the museum or just through pictures or videos.
Again...what exactly is causing this haunting and causing people to have issues after seeing Peggy? I truly don't know as there's not much out there for information. Whatever the dark presence in Peggy is, all I can say is proceed with caution.
I have looked at multiple pictures of Peggy and have noticed nothing...but will that be the same experience you have? I have no idea...everyone is different. Maybe my soul is darker than I realized (LOL). You will be looking at Peggy the Doll at your own risk.
Would I go visit Peggy the Doll and other haunted items in Zak's museum as well as other haunted museums that are out there....absolutely! Would I love to personally own some haunted items...most definitely! I've never said that I was a normal person...but I do know that you have to be fully aware of what you are getting yourself in to and how to protect yourself and your surroundings.
If you feel up to it...check out the story of Peggy the Doll on the internet, read Jayne Harris' book, or go see her for yourself. Keep yourself protected best you can and hopefully you will have a decent experience.
